Extract: The overall objective of this study was to measure the employment and income effects of recreation expenditures in the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System (MKARNS) on the state of Oklahoma. Such data are needed for management decisions with respect to implementation, coordination, and promotion of existing and proposed state and federal recreational programs. Knowledge of the economic effect of recreation expenditures is also needed by the private sector to effectively plan recreation-related services.
