The most important species of borers attacking young tillers of sugarcane are the shoot borer, Chilo infuscatellus, the top borer, Scirpophaga excerptalis and the pink borer, Sesamia inferens. In case of control, chemical control is the best method and we try control by cultural control, mulching with dry sugarcane leaf after havesting, burning and no burning. This experiment is pair-treatment, leaf mulching compared to leaf burning and no leaf burning compared to burning with 6 replications at Chonburi and Suphanburi provinces. The experiment resulted that the mulching plot and no burning plot have low infestation, oviposition and highly sihnificant than burning plot.
