Further occurrence of the Long-winged Bat (Miniopterus schreibersi (Mamm., Chiroptera)) on the Muran Plateau, Slovakia.
1994
Uhrin M.
Findings of the Long-winged Bat (Miniopterus schreibersi) in the railway tunnel in locality Dielik (Slovakia) in winter 1993 are reported. The Long-winged Bats hibernated in mixed colonies together with Barbastelle (Barbastella barbastellus) and Common Pipistrelle (Pipistrellus pipistrellus). This find proves the assumption that the Muran Plateau is the northernmost locality of constant occurrence of this species in Slovakia.
