Características forrajeras de variedades de triticale en condiciones de sequía | Forage characteristics of triticale varieties under drought

En Zacatecas se desconocen características forrajeras de variedades triticale que pudieran ser una alternativa para las zonas de baja precipitación. El objetivo fue determinar la producción y componentes de rendimiento de cuatro variedades de triticale en condiciones de temporal en Zacatecas. Los experimentos se evaluaron durante los años 2010 y 2012 en el Campo Experimental Zacatecas. El diseño experimental fue bloques completos al azar con tres repeticiones, la densidad de siembra fue de 120 kg ha-1, las fechas de siembra fueron el 14 de julio de 2010 y el 18 de julio de 2012 y la fertilización fue 6040-00 de N-P2O5-K. La cosecha se realizó en lechoso-masoso. En la producción de forraje verde y seco, la variedad que sobresalió fue secano con 4685.3 y 1876.7 kg ha-1, respectivamente, únicamente Pollmer presentó rendimientos similares (p> 0.05). En hoja y espiga se encontraron diferencias (p< 0.05) entre las variedades, Secano sobre salió con 307.5 y 867.3 kg Ms/ha respectivamente, Pollmer tuvo rendimientos similares. En tallo no se observaron diferencias (p> 0.05) entre las variedades. Las variables que tuvieron una relación positiva (p< 0.001) con el rendimiento de forraje seco, fueron los kilogramos de hoja (r= 0.85), tallo (r= 0.77) y espiga (r= 0.91). Las variedades que sobresalieron en la producción de forraje seco fue Secano y Pollmer, también éstas mismas presentaron los más altos rendimientos de hoja y espiga, por lo tanto estas variedades son una buena alternativa para eficientizar la producción de materia seca en zonas con baja aptitud agrícola.

In Zacatecas forage characteristics of triticale varieties that could be an alternative for low rainfall areas are unknown. The objective was to determine the production and yield components of four varieties of triticale under rainfed conditions in Zacatecas. The experiments were evaluated during 2010 and 2012 in the Experimental Field Zacatecas. The experimental design was a complete randomized block with three replications, planting density was 120 kg ha-1, planting dates were July 14, 2010 and July 18, 2012 and fertilization was 6040-00 of N-P2O5-K. Harvest was made at milky-doughy. In the production of green and dry fodder, the variety that stood out was Secano with 4685.3 and 1 876.7 kg ha-1, respectively, only Pollmer presented similar yields (p> 0.05). Leave and spike showed differences (p< 0.05) between varieties, Secano stood out with 307.5 and 867.3 kg Ms/ha respectively, Pollmer had similar yields. There were no differences in stem (p> 0.05) between varieties. The variables that had a positive relationship (p< 0.001) with dry forage yield, were kilograms of leave (r= 0.85), stem (r= 0.77) and spike (r= 0.91). Varieties that excelled in the production of dry fodder was Secano and Pollmer, also, these had the highest yields of leaf and spike, therefore these varieties are a good alternative to make more efficient the production of dry matter in areas with low agricultural potential.
