Importance of epidemiology for medical science and health

In the article, brief information on the importance of epidemiology in medical science, especially in the field of infectious diseases and occupational diseases was given, and the successes and experience gained in the study of these diseases in recent years were shared. Scientific innovations in the field of epidemiology have greatly enriched the medical science, and the proposal of important measures against infectious diseases in experimental health care has resulted in the protection of thousands of human lives due to the prevention of these diseases. The tasks facing epidemiology are constantly expanding, they change under the influence of the socio-economic conditions of human society, as well as due to the increase of infectious pathologies. Epidemiology, as a general medical science, studies the causes, conditions, and mechanisms of public illness, its distribution across the territory, among different population groups, and within space.
