<i>Varma Maruthuvam</i>, a branch of Siddha Medicine, employs external medicine to manage various <i>Enbu Muriv</i>u (Musculoskeletal conditions). Despite its popularity, there is a lack of comprehensive documentation on the external medicines opted in <i>Varma Maruthuvam</i> for fracture management. This literature review aims to compile and document the external medicines used in <i>Varma Maruthuvam</i> for <i>Enbu Murivu</i>, exploring their ingredients, preparation methods, and applications. A thorough search of traditional <i>Varma</i> literature was conducted to identify relevant information. The review reveals a range of External Medicines, including <i>Ottradam</i>, <i>Poochu</i>, <i>Nasiyam</i>, <i>Oothal</i>, <i>Thaarai</i>, and <i>Potanam</i>, etc., used to promote fracture healing, reduce pain and inflammation, and enhance functional recovery. The documented medicines and their applications provide a foundation for further research and standardization of <i>Varma Maruthuvam</i> practices. This review contributes to preserving traditional knowledge and promotes the integration of <i>Varma Maruthuvam</i> into modern healthcare practices, offering a complementary approach to fracture management.
