Wheat yields in 2002/2003, application of breeding technology and recommendations

This paper analyses the results of lower yields in 2002/2003. Weather conditions were not favourable. In autumn period temperature and rains were higher then usually comparing to several year average, but number of rainy days is higher from the high year average. Sowing was last more then two months. In optimal period were sown only 17% of planned area. Winter, spring and summer period were under several year average to the basic of meteorological elements. Production was done in hard economic condition. It was done more non declared seeds that caused less yields and wheat quality. On trade was enough of mineral fertilizers with high price at the attitude of consumer. From this reason this production founded with less quantities of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium that could be introduced under the land cultivation. Incomplete growing technology was reinforced the negative effects of weather conditions. Stabilization of production is possible with higher investigation and professional application of growing technology nowdays.
