Illyrian belt of beech, fir and spruce (Piceo-Fago-Abietetum Col. 65) in Southwest Serbia [Serbia and Montenegro]

This paper presents the zonal (climate-regional) association Piceo-Fago-Abietetum Col. 1965 on Pesterska Visoravan. It ranges at the altitudes between 1200 and 1450 m, at different exposures, slopes, parent rocks and soil types. The floristic composition, structure, as well as two spectres of life forms and range types are analysed based on the phytocoenological table. Based on the authors' research and discussion it was concluded that the community Piceo-Fago-Abietetum Col. 1965 represents an Illyrian altitudinal belt in Southwest Serbia.
