The paper presents the results of investigation of wheat grain elementary structure influence on yields. The experiment was conducted at field conditions with 12 cultivars of wheat: Vucedolka, Nova Zlatna, Zg 65-69, Dika, Super zlatna, Osjecanka, Pitoma, Jugoslavija, NS rana 2, OSK 337/1, Baranka and Miljenka. The cultivars were placed on the soil of excellent agricultural features. The whole quantity of soil nutrients was: P2O5 - 50 kg, K2O - 70 kg, N-170 kg (in autumn 96 kg, and in two top dressings 74 kg). The following conclusions were: There was the difference among the yields of cultivars of wheat. The best yield of 73,5 dt/ha gave Osjecanka. The concentration of wheat grain elementary structure proved that there was a correlation between the concentration of N, P, K, Ca and Zn and the yield of grain. The uptaking of NPK by wheat grain is in correlation to yield with certainty of 99%.
