The waterpower engineering basis in Voivodina (SFRY) treats general characteristics of Voivodina, water resources -surface and underground water, utilization of water, water-control land reclamation (draining and irrigation), regional hydrosystems, regulation of natural water currents, protection of waters, waterpower engineering balance, general instructions of development. The material treating waterpower engineering activities is given in this publication as a survey of the exsisting situation and planned solutions (future situation). Waterpower engineering balance and general instructions of development are given separately. The resources of surface waters having importance for waterpower engineering are analysed more thoroughly. The region of Voivodina is subject to various types of erosion, the most frequent being the aeolian and pluvial ones.
