Pasic, M. (Sumarski fakultet, Sarajevo (Yugoslavia))
Lodging of conifer shoots appears each year in many nurseries in SR Bosnia and Herzegovina (SFRY). The most frequently isolated fungi -- exciters of the disease belong to the following genera: Fusarium, Pythium, Alternaria and Aspergillus and the main exciters come from the genus Fusarium. Some species of this genus have been isolated and their morphological properties examined. The most frequently found species was F. oxysporum, showing, under the conditions of artificial inoculation, a very high pathogenicity towards conifer shoots. Efficiency of some fungicides in the preventive protection of the Scotch pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) and Norway spruce (Picea abies Karst.) was investigated. The obtained results point to the necessity of application of preventive protecting measures comprising the treatment of seed, soil and plants with fungicides
