Evaluation of the relationship between maize genotypes using clones of genomic DNA
1985
Konstantinov, K. | Denic, M. (Maize research institute, Beograd (Yugoslavia))
The investigated autogamous maize lines and hybrids had 2 grain types, flint and dent ones, originating from North American Corn Belt and from original maize selected from northern European flint maize at the Maize institute. Qualitative differences in the Dna fragments used in hybridization have been noticed among different autogamous lines. Autogamous line Oh 43 is distinguished by the occurrence of 2 marked DNA fragments. Presence of fragments of cloned DNA used as a tester has not been found in W 153. The way of hybridization intensity of cloned DNA insert has been associated with the heterosis effect.
