On the basis of the carried out chromatography investigations it is concluded that the old ethereal immortelle oils, obtained by the destillation with water vapour, have more complex chemical composition than the fresh destilled oil. The increase in number of components with the old oils can be explained by the chemical change which appears during the ethereal oil development. In all the investigated samples of the destilled oil, free linaloon is identified and therefore it is concluded that this alcohol becomes a part of the ethereal immortelle oil, disregarding the way of obtaining it. The free nerol is identified in all the investigated samples. Nerol-acetate was identified only in the old oils obtained by the destillation with water vapour 10 years ago.
