Bearing potential of bushes in 8 blueberry cultivars in the conditions of Polimlje (Yugoslavia) has been investigated. The greatest number of trees in a bush was found with the Darrow cultivar and the smallest with Bluecrop. The highest vegetative growth was in the Darrow cultivar and the lowest in the Herbert one. 4 cultivars had growth over 1000 cm. Average branching coefficient in all cultivars was 37.80. All cultivars produced fruits on 2-year branches. With the maturity of branches the yield and quality of fruits reduced. According to the number of flowers in a bunch, the Blueray cultivar took the first place and Ivanhoe the last. For this characteristic there were established significant and very significant differences within cultivars and in respect of years. Flower characteristics of the investigated cultivars were determined, as well.
