A contribution to the study of bearing in smoke kiwifruit cultivars in the conditions of Herzegovina [Yugoslavia]

It was found out that ecologic conditions of Gabela near Capljina (Yugoslavia) were suitable for successful production of Actinidia. The most favourable breeding type was pergola. The Monty cultivar had the highest yield (55.3 kg per tree) and the largest fruits (50.4 g). Little number of fruits in the Abbott and Hayward cultivars was compensated by the weight of their fruits. The Bruno cultivar was picked first from all the investigated cultivars, at the beginning of November and the Hayward cultivar, the last, at the end of the 2nd decade of November.
