The investigations into the effects of different systems of drainage with drainpipes upon the mass, ie. concentration of leached nitrogen proved that significantly greater quantity of nitrogen leached through the system with smaller drain space (15 m), in comparison with variants with larger drain space (30 m). The average concentration of mineral nitrogen forms in waters of the drainage system varied from 0.7 to 0.8 mg 1- for NH4-N and from 9.4 to 12.9 mg 1- for NO3-N. The correlation between the quality of drainage waters and different systems of drainage has not been established.
