Characteristics of new wheat variety Ljubicevka [Yugoslavia]

The paper provides a description of the new wheat variety, Ljubicevka obtained from the cross Orasanka x Zastava. In the investigation of crosses it provided the average yield of 6,292 kg/ha. It is highly resistant to winter, grain shattering and lodging. The variety has very large grains. Flour content is 78.5% and sedimentation 59 ml. It produces high yields of bread. Ljubicevka belongs to medium--late varieties. Optimum sowing time is in October with the rate of 600 sprouted grains per 1 m
