Determination of some technological parameters and kinetics of sunflower seed oil extraction

It was established that there are great differences in the reaction of whole sunflower seeds to extraction in comparison with sunflower seed cake and soybean flakes. Structural and mechanical properties, as well as filtration characteristics of sunflower are much poorer than in sunflower cake and soybean flakes.It is possible to prepare for extraction sunflower seed with more favourable characteristics with the help of suitable laboratory technology, but the filtration coefficient is still far below the values obtained with sunflower cake. Differences in humidity content have a significant effect on the course and success of direct extraction.
