Markovic, Z. (Institut za stocarstvo, Beograd (Yugoslavia))
Investigations into the connection of stress syndorm with reproductive characteristics was carried out with pigs of the German Landrace and Yorkshire breeds. Determination of stress susceptibility in pigs was carried out by method of halothane test. On the basis of the obtained results, it could be concluded that halothane susceptible pigs have less liveborn and reared piglets, greater losses of piglets in the period until weaning, higher body mass of piglets at the end of suckling period and more favourable gain during the suckling period as compared with halothane resistant pigs.
