1988
Milovankic, M. (Poljoprivredni fakultet, Novi Sad (Yugoslavia)) | Dugalic, S. | Keserovic, Z.
Tree growth of sour cherry cultivars studied and of hybrid H 4 was more vigorous on the sucker of sour cherry cv. Cigancica than on the seedlings of the steppe sour cherry type S 4. The young trees of the sour cherry forms studiedare precocious and bear regular and heavy yields in the third year after planting. The percentage of fruit picked from the orchard floor amounts to 100%. The sour cherry forms have a good graft union with the rootstocks studied, especially in the case of Koroser Weichsel on the rootstock steppe sour cherry type S 4. The sour cherries studied and hybrid H 4 can be grown in dense plantings for the increase of yields and improvement of fruit quality per unit area.
