Occurence of first autumn frosts at nine places in Slovene region Gorenjska (Upper Carniola) is analysed for the period from 1947 to 1987. Some statistical results are presented including mean dates in measures of dispersion. On the basis of probability distributions the probabilities of occurrence of first autumn frost for a given risk are given. The dependence of mean date of first autumn frost on height above mean sea level and its validity is discussed , as well.
