The introductory chapter of the book provides a definition of weeds and describes their biological and ecological properties. The chapters that follow describe damages caused by weeds, possibilities of their useful exploitation, their classification, reproduction and modes of spreading. Then the book describes weed ecology with reference to weed associations. It also describes agrotechnical and other methods of weed control (soil cultivation, biological control, herbicides). The last chapter discusses the topic of weeds in a more general sense.
