Results of the cabbage varieties examination for early spring production

Six varieties and three hybrids suitable for aerly spring production were examined. The trials were conduced with the common methods for this kind of research. The varieties Ditmar and lines created in the Institut for field and vegetable crops in Skopje (Yugoslavia), (L-3, L-7), gives medium results of yield and quality of the head. The variety Prva zetva is very variable, but hybrids Vela and Tucana are very early with hard and beautiful heads. Later varieties Slava and Kopenhaska have better yield and quality and are suitable for summer production. Hybrid Minicile is not good for early spring production.
