[An experiment on protecting grape vines from early blight]

Early blight of grape vines is caused by the Phomopsis viticola Sacc. fungus. It has been observed since 1978, in the region of the Sava River basin and the Drava basin (Yugoslavia). The symptoms of the disease are described in this paper, as well as the biological characteristics of the agent, the Phomopsis viticola Sacc. fungus and chemical measures taken in the battle against this disease (DNOC, blue vitriol, fungicides).
