The best media for the development of Septocyta ruborum are Czapek agar, acid synthetic agar, onions agar and potato agar. On them the degree of fructification is strongest except on czapek agar which is without fructification. The optimum temperature for the development of colonies is about 25'C. At 35'C parasite does not develop while at 30'C and 6'C the development is nearly the same. The fructification of Rb-21 isolate is strong at 25'C while of Rb-22 isolate it is slight. The acidity of medium does not influence remarkably the development and fructification except pH 3,0 and 3,5 on which these two isolates differ evidently, since Rb-21 isolate produces darkgreyish colonies of larger size while Rb-22 isolate produces considerably smaller colonies of beige colour and leathery, so that one gets the impression of the presence of two different fungi species, and not of two isolates of the same parasite. Sectorial development of colonies expressed in both isolates is another interesting characteristic of them. Unequal development of the isolates investigated expressed on different nutritive media, temperature, hydrogen ions of agar, then the sectorial outlook of colonies on medium, different degree of fructification and other characteristics are in accordance with the quotations of the previous authors on S.ruborum.
