An analysis of framed structures (using a computer)

In this paper a mathematical model has been described, which provides the statistical analysis of framed structures with common type mixed joints independent on the type and degree of statistical indeterminancy. Such approach is particularly important in calculations of mechanical engineering structures which are typically characterized by a great variety of member and joint types. Besides, a brief review of software package SANSS (Statical Analysis of Stresses in Framed Structures) is given, which realized the described mathematical model. As an illustration an example of computational procedure of a space framed structure in a form of a portal is given.
