Preclinical examination of methenamine hydrothiocyanate; A possible acute systemic toxicity
1989
Savic, I. | Mitrovic, V. ("Zdravlje" Leskovac (Yugoslavia))
The examination of the acute systemic toxicity of methenamine hydrothiocyanate was conducted in mice and rats by the determination of the mean lethal dose at the intravenous or peroral application, and the determination of the minimum lethal dose in rats and guinea pigs. The obtained results suggested that the examined compound can be classified as moderately toxic and can thus be relatively safe for the acute systemic application in animals.
