The effect of the additive for piglets based on the nutritive antibiotic virginiamycin, synthetic amino lysine, flavour, copper, iron and zinc, has been investigated in the trial on 80 piglets weaned at 3-4 weeks of age. In comparison to the control group fed with mixes without stimulant, the tested additive at half and recommended level improved the average daily weight gain by 12.99% and 21.82% respectively. At the same time feed consumption per weight gain unit in those test groups was reduced by 4.78% and 21.82% respectively. At the same time feed consumption per weight gain unit in those test groups was reduced by 4.78% and 10.57% respectively. Comparison of the results obtained by using tested piglet additive at recommended level and commercially available additive marked by A. shows greater efficiency of tested additive in the sense of weight gain stimulation and reduction of feed consumption per weight gain unit.
