Contribution to the study of some factors of natural regeneration of pedunculate oak forests in Srem [Serbia, Yugoslavia]

Bobinac, M. (Sumarski fakultet, Beograd (Yugoslavia))
The natural regeneration of association of pedunculate oak and ash with hedge and Tatarian maple (Fraxino-Quercetum roboris aceretosum) on the driest variants of marsh and meadow dark soils in Srem (Yugoslavia) occurs under extremely difficult conditions. It is also very expensive, since in the years of seed crop the soil must be previously prepared to receive acorns. Beside the information about the quantity of seed crop, also the informations about the crown covering of the planned area must be collected. The selecting of so-called "working fields" in the management system of regeneration fellings on large areas enables concentration, intensity and survey of works on limited smaller areas.
