There were insignificant differences between housing system, excluding significantly greater body weight and breast angle in hens of free range compared with hen sin cages. All dressing percentages on live weight basis were highly significantly greater in birds from cages than in birds from floor range. Hens from free range had significantly lower drumsticks share. Hens from cages had significantly higher shanks share in comparison with hens from free range, as well as highly significantly smaller gizzard and liver share than birds from other housing systems. The results of this study could be of some interest for better utilization of spent hens carcasses in case of alterating the housing systems for layers in future egg production.
