Influence of mineral fertilizers on the growth of Helianthus tuberosus L., Asteraceae

The investigation was conducted on five varieties of Helianthus tuberosus: Bela, Bianca, Violet de Rennes, Violet communes and Topianca. The growth of mentioned varieties treated with mineral fertilizers and the other non-treated (control) was different. The plants grown on the fertilized field were growing higher except for the variety Bela. The best effect on the plant growth was connected with nitric fertilizer on the varieties: Bianca, Violet communes and Topianca, and potassium fertilizer on the varieties: Violet de Rennes and Violet communes. The differences in growth are not remarkable. Double and triple combinations of elements had different influence on the plants growth. The plants treated with potassium fertilizer did not grow higher than control ones.
