[Application of the high clearance tractor at removing seed-corn panicles]

The paper presents the investigation results of mechanized and manual panicles removing of seed corn of hybrid NSSC-444. Three methods of panicles removing have been investigated: mechanical cutting (tractor 1.), mechanical pulling out (tractor 2.), and manual pulling out with four workers in a group. The parameters of tractor 2. are: power engine 40 kW, clearance 1700 mm, conception (4x2); of tractor 1. are: the power engine 48 kW, clearance 2000 mm, conception (4x4). The best quality was at manual pulling and than at mechanical pulling out and mechanical cutting. So it is necessary to work on improving the quality of high clearance tractors with mechanical pulling of the panicles.
