The results show that all tested methods are not suitable for irrigation scheduling to be used in routine. The most reliable data of the water supply to the crop were obtained by gravimetric method and predawn leaf water potential. Among five tested methods for calculating sweet sorghum evapotranspiration, only two of them are reliable: Vucuc and Hargreaves, whereas other need corrections for further use. FAO CROWPAT model may be used for peak net continuous discharge design, using correction coefficient if weather data from agrometeorological station are not available, but not for irrigation scheduling.
