A procedure for the pressure drop prediction of sprinkler irrigation systems is given in this paper. For the calculation of Darcy turbulent friction factor the equations of Blasius, Herman and Manning are applied. A critical test of these correlations is carried out by comparing the predicted friction pressure drop with experimental pipe flow data. Comparison of the results obtained to the results of the Scobey's method is performed. For jet breaker arm with 5, 7, 10, 15 and 20 sprinklers, a comparison review and analysis of results are given. The results showed that Scobey's method of correlation gives the best agreement with the experiment over the entire range of available data, while the Manning correlation is within 10 percent of the experimental data. The Blasius and Herman correlations are found to unpredict experimental pipe flow data for N values between 5 and 20.
