The influence of two ways of breeding on fattening characteristics and meat quality in the line hybrid Hybro and Ross-208 was examined. The outlet bred groups after a seven-week breeding were characterized by a lower average body mass, lower average daily growth, a little lesser food conversion but lesser mortality as well. The half-intensive bred broilers of both hybrids accomplished the same results in some characteristics as the intensive-bred ones (carcass yield, the additional product share, 2nd and 3rd category meat share). However, hybrid bred in outlets achieved better results in the 1st category meat share; in Hybro strain in muscle tissue, too. Besides, fat contents in thigh and drumstick muscles of these broilers were lower but the protein contents a bit higher. All of these points can confirm better quality broiler meat of half-intensive breed.
