The effect of various boron concentrations on the mass of dry matter and boron accumulation in different genotypes and lines of sunflower was studied in a greenhouse, by the method of hydroponics. The results showed that the highest mass of dry matter was at concentration of 25 microM of boron in the nutrient solution. Boron content in plants significantly increased with increase of boron content in the nutrient solution. Striking genetic variability was apparent in the accumulation of dry matter and boron, as well as during growth in the presence of the lowest and the highest concentrations of boron.
