The study involved solid phase extraction of pesticides from standard and surface water. Two pesticides were analysed - atrazine (a herbicide) and lindane (an insecticide) - both individually and in a mixture from standard water. RF values for the analytes were determined via chloropyrifos (an internal standard), while the recovery of extraction was also determined for both pesticides individually and in a mixture. The loss of analytes in the course of solid phase extraction was monitored. By supercritical extaction method, it was proved that methanol cannot be used for desorbing the entire amount of pesticides from the C-18 phase. A new piece of equipment was invented that enables the absorption of pesticides from water in a thimble for SFE extraction. The extraction of pesticides absorbed on the C-18 phase was done using supercritical fluid extraction. The extracts were analysed using gas chromatographs.
