Defining homogenous narrow areas of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina [Yugoslavia] from the standpoint of natural and economic conditions of production

Hierarchical clustering method was used to classify the communes of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina (Yugoslavia) according to some resembling properties based on average 3-year values for 39 characteristics. Five clusters (groups) of communes homogeneous with respect to the structure of land utilization, agricultural production output and demographic characteristics of the agricultural population were formed. The following communes were not included due to their specific properties: Temerin, Backi Petrovac, Beocin and Sremski Karlovci.
