The results for growth of Pivska lambs, in the poor conditions of sheep feeding, were slightly higher than in crosses Pivska x Wuertemberg and (Pivska x Wuertemberg) x Pivska, but significantly higher than in Wuertemberg lambs during the period of suckling (from birth to 90 days of age). However, during fattening on pasture the crossbred lambs (Pivska x Wuertemberg and (Pivska x Wuertemberg) x Pivska) had better gain than Pivska lambs, while gain of Wuertemberg was again the lowest. When the lambs of Pivska and crosses were slaughtered at the age of 90 days, in spite of good meatiness of carcasses, lambs of all genotypes had poor degree of fatness. The crossbred lambs, especially Pivska x Wuertemberg, had greater yield and more favorable results for the important traits of carcass than Pivska when the lambs were slaughtered at the age of 6 months
