Inheritance of inflorescence traits in F1 interspecific sunflower hybrids

Inheritance of the number of ray flowers, capitulum diameter and head diameter was studied in five hybrid combinations obtained by crossing five inbred lines of ornamental sunflower with wild species Helianthus argophyllus. Partial domination of wild species prevailed in the inheritance of number of ray flowers, while intermediate inheritance was most frequent in the inheritance of capitulum diameter and head diameter.
