Mebendazole is anthelmintic with wide range of effects. Spectrophotometric method for analysing of mebendazole in Helmivet powder is testing to: selectivity, precision, linearity, accuracy, sensitivity and stability. The testing solution shows the absorptive maximum (peak) at L=262 nm. The average value of mebendazole contents is 49.8 mg/g. The coefficient of variation is 1.11, and "recovery" value for laboratory sample is 101.8 - 105 the limits of detection and quantification are 2.9 x 10E-4 mg/ml and 1.5 x 10E-3 mg/ml. The linear dependence of absorption and concentration on a scale of 2.5 x 10E-3 was found. The parameters of validation prove that the suggested spectrophotometric method can be used for quantitative analysis of mebendazole in dosed forms.
