Current problems in the financing of agricultural investment projects and role of bank managers [Yugoslavia]

The key aspects for the development of agricultural econom, i.e. for a stronger financial support to agriculture, are the following: 1. Consistent market orientation of agriculture in compliance with world tendencies; 2. Support by the state stimulating agricultural production and market development; 3. Proper managing of business banks in the direction of financing profitable and market development projects in agriculture, particularly those have passage to the world market. Agrobanka has endeavoured to participate in all development programs and respond with its own funds to every stimulus by the state. Since in addition to the proper activities of the bank management the financing of agriculture requires additional stimulation funds due to its long term character, further activities by the state are expected in order to ensure more funds to finance agriculture, which would have influence also on the reduction of capital cost, i.e. on the reduction of interest rate for loans to agriculture.
