Proposal for classification of the soils of Yugoslavia

A new classification with 10 categories is proposed for the soils of Yugoslavia. The nature of the new classification makes it possible for each characteristic property of soils to belong invariably to a single hierarchical rank, while at the same time rendering it impossible for two different properties to be found in the same category. The classification is adapted to the information system on agricultural land.
