The draft strategy lays down the basic lines of a future development of energy sector in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, from the aspect of the possibility of using the domestic energy potentials to meet the projected energy supply and demand figures in the period up to the year 2020, possible options of energy imports, possible use of new technologies and new and restorable energy sources, scientific and research work, environmental protection as well as organizational and economic aspects of energy sector development and the directions of a further international cooperation of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in the field of energy.
