Essential oils of some species of the genus Tanacetum L.

As a part of systematic investigations of essential oils from species of genus Tanacetum L., present in flora of Serbia (Yugoslavia), chemical composition of essential oils from Tanacetum vulgare L., Tanacetum parthenium (L.) Schultz-Bip. and Tanacetum macrophyllum (Willd.) Schultz-Bip. (Acetaceae) was examined. Plant material was collected at locality Brezovica (Serbia, Yugoslavia). Essential oils were isolated from dried herb by hydrodistillation. Essential oils were analyzed by gas chromatography. The results obtained make chemical differentiation of mentioned species possible, and contribute to chemotaxonomy of this genera.
