The results of comparative investigations of naturalized clones of Pozegaca [plums]

Pozegaca is the one of the most qualitative plum variety, of the great usable value. In its wide population, types, that differed by fruit largeness, florescence, time of ripening and fruitfulness, are noticed. In the aim of selection the clones with large fruits, clonal selection of Pozegaca was done in several countries (Hungary, Germany, Yugoslavia, etc.). In this work five Pozegaca clones (Gunser, Estheid, Schufer, Meschenmajer and Wolf) naturalized from Germany, were investigated, and it was concluded that this clones can be recommended for growing in western Serbia (Yugoslavia).
