The results of macrotrials and the actual varieties of winter wheat in the Republic of Serbia [Yugoslavia]

The investigations were undertaken over the localities (about 35) in the region of the Republic of Serbia (Yugoslavia) and they consisted of macrotrials lasting several years (one, two and eight). The average wheat grain yield in the central part of the Republic of Serbia (Yugoslavia) ranged from 4.23 t/ha (Leda) to 6.45 t/ha (Prva). In the northern part of the Republic of Serbia, Vojvodina, the average wheat grain yield varied from 4.08 t/ha (BG-Maksima) to 6.59 t/ha (Takovcanka); it was followed by Renesansa (6.43 t/ha), Pobeda (6.23 t/ha) and Prva (6.23 t/ha).
