State of coppice oak stands and some causes of their degradation

This paper deals with the problem of sessile oak coppice forest devitalization. Out of numerous factors affecting tree vitality, the paper emphasises the stand structure and insect pest populations. These factors are doubtlessly significant and the foresters can affect them directly and independently.
