Stamenkovic, S. (Institut "Srbija", Cacak (Yugoslavia). Centar za vocarstvo i vinogradarstvo)
Ten-years results of winter examination of cultivated fruit crops in western Serbia (Yugoslavia) and pest numbers on them, lead to the following conclusions: It is essential that winter sprays in the conditions of western Serbia and Sumadija (Yugoslavia) were carried out every year. The highest number of Aphidae, Geometridae, Tortricidae, Psyllidae, and Acarinae populations were assessed by winter examinations, which required winter spraying or spraying at the start of the vegetation season. Winter spraying is carried out with Kreozan at 2%, 1.5% and 1% for pome fruits, stone fruits and raspberry and black berry, respectively. In case of missing the winter spraying with Kreozan, the following chemicals can be used as an alternative for spraying fruit crops and grapes from the stage of bud burst till "mouse ears": Oleometion, Galpar, Oleoultracid, Oleo-ultravet, Oleosupration, Agropar, Galmin and Oligogal.
