The aim of this study was to determine the content of zinc and copper in samples of complete feedmixes for pigs and to compare the recorded values with current tolerable levels set by legislation. The elements were detected by method of atomic absorptive spectrophotometry. Average values of zinc and copper found in the samples were 132.49 mg/kg and 45.0 mg/kg, respectively. The obtained results indicate that the content of examined elements in complete feedmixes for pigs are in accordance with values stated in the Book of Regulations of the quality of feedmixes. It was determined that the traced amounts of elements were considerably below the tolerable level determined in the Book of Regulations on the maximally tolerable levels of harmful substances and contents in feed.
